Less than half of retirees say they are financially prepared

Finances and health are top concerns according to a study by the Transamerica Center for RetirementStudies®. When asked, retirees most frequently say declining health that requires long-term care (47%) and a reduction in, or elimination of, Social Security (47%) are among their greatest retirement fears. Losing their independence (38%) and outliving their savings and investments (37%) are also often cited.
