The reverse mortgage space is growing as more lenders and brokers implement the HECM option into their business strategy. As more mortgage professionals enter the space, the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association – NRMLA - is working to increase awareness of their Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
Central to this code is Rule 401, which states: “NRMLA Members shall acquire and maintain the necessary and appropriate knowledge, skills and experience required to competently offer and provide their products and services in a manner consistent with this Code of Ethics and applicable law, including, as applicable, in the origination, processing, underwriting, closing and servicing of reverse mortgage loans.”
Plaza Home Mortgage® has been a proud member of NRMLA since 2008 and fully supports the association’s efforts to strengthen the ethical framework that every member company and its employees must follow.
