Broker-Correspondent Approval Specialist

SUMMARY:

 

The Broker-Correspondent Approval Specialist is responsible for the approval and maintenance of Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc. customer accounts, according to Plaza’s criteria and standards and other applicable state and federal regulations. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Process broker and correspondent applications and annual recertification’s

·         Understand VA & HUD regulations and apply that understanding to account maintenance

·         Maintain account passwords and interact with vendors for password setups

·         Understand Plaza programs (ex. – PULSE, DataTrac) and troubleshoot account related issues as they arise

·         Interact with branch staff, sales staff, and management to keep account approvals current and in good standing

·         Interact with Plaza customers, providing the information and service they need to help them do business with Plaza

·         Manage broker compensation settings

·         Use available tools and evaluate available information to reduce Plaza risk

·         Keep pace with industry changes and adapt to new policies and procedures ensuring compliance in how we do business

·         Develop knowledge of state licensing regulations and requirements

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

·         This position interacts with all internal departments and acts as a member of the Risk Management Team.
